The SIX ADVISORS™
Dr. Robert S. Hartman, considered to be the father of formal Axiology, the science of how we think, discovered that there are six very different and unique dimensions of thought. We call these six dimensions of thought, your SIX ADVISORS ™. Each serves a very different and specific role.
Three Advisors are focused on how we should function in our external world, i.e., valuing people, doing things, and thinking through and solving problems. The other three Advisors are focused on our internal world, i.e., valuing self, the roles we play, and what motivates us.
As humans we have the unique ability to step back, become aware of our thoughts – our Advisors – and proactively change the way we are thinking. It’s called being metacognitive. Unfortunately, many people spend a lifetime unaware of how to access this uniquely human ability. Instead they allow themselves to be controlled by their thoughts, unaware of the negative impact their thoughts are having on their attitude, emotions, performance, productivity, and ultimately your profitability.
